We thank Reverend Kay Wiggins for her message this weekend. It is a pleasure to have her with us again.

 

 

THANKOFFERING BOXES: There are bowls in the back of church and in the coffee lounge for your Thankoffering envelopes or boxes. Thank you for your offering to be used equally by our Trinity Lutheran Women and the Women of the ELCA Synod.

 

WE WARMLY WELCOME ALL VISITORS to please fill out your name, address and phone number in the friendship register as it is passed before the service or during the offering. Please indicate if you are a 1st time visitor and/or if you wish to have a pastor visit. Current members should always sign the friendship register and indicate any changes.  

 

 

Coffee served on Sunday is purchased through the LWR Coffee Project to support third world countries and small farmers who are trying to make a living for their families.

 

 

YOUTH ARE IMPORTANT TO OUR FAMILY of faith at Trinity. Please check with an usher for activity bags for young children. A family room is located behind our worship space. Also, a staffed nursery is available on Sunday mornings.

 

ALTAR FLOWERS THIS WEEKEND are presented to the glory of God and in loving memory of Ernie Lindgren, who passed away on November 19, 2005, from his wife Jane.

 

Additional Flowers this weekend are presented to the glory of God and in honor of the 45th wedding anniversary of Barb & Ken Tourville on November 23.

BIBLE BASICS: Sunday at 9:15 a.m. in room 202. Lesson sheets are located in the coffee lounge.

 

ADULT EDUCATION: 9:15 a.m., youth room. Introduction to the Old Testament: Nov. 16, an overview of the different books in the Old Testament by Lutheran scholars; Nov. 23, introduction to the book of Isaiah. We will look at how Isaiah communicates a message of hope.

 

ONLINE BIBLE STUDY FOR WOMEN: You can just go to the Trinity website: www.tlcwaupaca.org and click on Women’s Bible Study. The study will reflect the scripture reading for the week.

 

YOGA CLASSES: New Life Yoga with instructor, Julie Neubauer: M-W-F 7:00 a.m.; M&W 9:00 a.m.; T&Th 6:00 p.m.; Video Yoga: T&Th 7:00 a.m.

 

Children’s choir rehearsal: Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 6:00 p.m. They will sing at the 10:30 worship service on November 23.

 

Thursday morning bible study: No class on November 20 & 27. Class will resume December 4.

 

LITURGICAL DANCERS: Trinity’s Liturgical Dance Team will perform at the 6:00 p.m. service on Saturday, November 22, dancing to the song, “Here I am Lord.”

 

HELP DECORATE: Altar guild would like help decorating for Christmas. The dates are November 30, 1-3:00; December 1, 2 & 3, 3-5:00. Please come when you can and leave when you must.

 

MIRACLE TREE: We hope to provide a better Christmas for many who would otherwise go without. Gifts can be dropped until December 7. Please donate new toys, clothes, mittens, hats, socks, games for children ages 1-18 and items for the elderly. Monetary donations can be sent to: Waupaca Area Miracle Tree, PO Box 504, Waupaca, WI 54981.

 

THE 45TH POTATO PANCAKE SUPPER: Tuesday, November 18, 4-7:00 p.m. Tickets sold between worship services or at the door. Adult, ages 13 & up/$5; children ages 6-12/ $4. Proceeds purchase Bibles for our third graders.

Attention 8–12 grade youth:  Please contact Jean Lane, WOW Worship Assistant, if you are interested in offering your gifts to be Assisting Minister at WOW.  Strong public speaking skills a plus and generally for a month at a time.  In addition, please contact me if you and/or your family are interested in greeting, ushering or reading at WOW.  As always, contact Wanda if you are interested in offering your talents to the Praise Team.

 

ATTENTION CIRCLE LEADERS: Please get your updated officers and member list to Linda Holtebeck or Elle Peterson soon for updating the 2009 Women’s booklet.

 

BENEFIT CONCERT for Julia Steinbach, friend of Wanda. Sat.  Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 325 East Franklin St., Appleton. Free will donation, proceeds for medical expenses.

 

POINSETTIAS: Order forms for Poinsettias will be available in the coffee lounge. If you would like to help beautify our sanctuary for Christmas, fill out a form and place it in the offering plate by December 1. Plants are $10 each. They will be displayed through December 30.

 

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER: Thursday, Nov. 27, noon,  Living Waters Community Church, 201 Foxfire Drive. Enjoy your Holiday with fellowship of friends, family and neighbors. Call Bethany Home, 258-5521 for dinner reservations by November 15.  Volunteers are needed for set-up, serving, and clean-up, call Christie, 942-1437.

 

Secret Sisters: Come to the Secret Sister Potluck to find out who your secret sister has been this year. The luncheon will be Saturday, December 6 at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. There will be a box in the Welcome Center for all who wish to sign up for the 2009 Secret Sister Program. Please fill out your 2009 form and place it in the box by December 5 or bring it to the program on Saturday the 6th. 2009 forms need to be received by Dec. 6.

 

‘Tears and Tinsel’ worship and remembrance program  for  those who have lost someone special in the past year will be held Monday evening December 8  in the Chapel at 6:00 p.m.  All community members are invited.  This will be facilitated by JoAnne Adkins, counselor with Bethany Community Care Ministry, who can be reached at 715/258-3289 with any questions.
